ON Semiconductor has signed two new distribution agreements with two multi-national Japan- based companies.
Ryosan Co. Ltd. and Macnica Inc. will distribute ON Semiconductor products in Japan, China and other Asia-Pacific countries, the chipmaker announced.
ON said the two distributors were chosen because they have experience in supporting a broad range electronic systems and components with a focus on semiconductors. Both companies have been granted rights to sell all ON Semiconductor product lines in Japan and the Asia-Pacific region. They will focus on expanding sales in the automotive and industrial segments, according to ON.
Ryosan Company has more than 60 years of experience in the electronics space, selling semiconductors, other electronic components and electronic equipment. Ryosan is expanding its technical support capabilities for electronic components and embedded devices to provide system solutions to customers.
Based in Tokyo, Ryosan has approximately 50 operating facilities in Japan and Asia. Ryosan has established a subsidiary, RINNOVENT Co., Ltd., which will handle ON Semiconductor’s products in Japan.
Macnica, Inc. has more than 40 years of experience in services and high-value products, including semiconductors other electronic devices, network equipment and software. Primarily, Macnica supports Japanese and international electrical and electronics manufacturers.
The company has focused on providing technical support and is expanding its global network with operations in the U.S., Europe and Asia. To support ON Semiconductor, the company has assigned Altima Corp. for Japan, Macnica Hong Kong Ltd. and Cytech Technology Ltd. for China and Hong Kong, Galaxy Far East Corp. for Taiwan, and Cytech Global Pte Ltd. for ASEAN and India.
