Future Electronics has signed a global distribution agreement with Laird and will carry the company’s line of Wi-Fi, Blue-Tooth and proprietary wireless modules in North America, Europe and Africa.
Laird wireless products are used in digital signage, medical, hospitality and industrial applications among others.
Under the agreement, Laird will be able to use Future's field engineering resources and physical distribution capabilities to help serve Laird's customers.
Greg Janke, vice president of sales for Laird, said Laird's wireless product portfolio is expanding. He said it was important for Laird to select a distribution partner “that has a global reach and shares our passion for quality support and accountability to customer success.”
He added that time to market is a top priority for Laird customers and Future “has the resources and experience to deliver Laird's solutions with reliable fulfillment and speed."
Pierre Luc Vigneault, product marketing manager of Future Connectivity Solutions, said Future anticipates high growth in demand for Laird’s products. He added Laird is a “serious competitor in the wireless space and offer high-value solutions for our customer base."
Future also announced it has signed a distribution agreement with Adesto Technologies, which makes low-power nonvolatile memory chips.
Adesto’s products include Fusion Serial Flash, DataFlash(r) and Conductive Bridging RAM (CBRAM(r)).
Jim Monteverde, director of global distribution and customer service for Adesto Technologies, said with the addition of Future, Adesto will be able to increase its reach and access to major design customers.
He added that expanding its sales channel network with partners Like Future is important in order to meet company growth objectives.
Dragos Chima, director of product marketing for memory products at Future, said the signing of Adesto will help Future “strengthen our ability to create compelling design solutions for our global customers.”
