As an aging population grows larger due to healthcare advances, mobility issues will no doubt be a larger issue in the future.
Some are looking for new innovations to keep people moving in the case of the elderly or to augment how workers stave off injuries doing manual labor or industrial jobs.
Enter Hypershell’s Hyper X Carbon exoskeleton. The exoskeleton is lightweight and able to work for those that spend time in the field or hiking different terrain or have mobility issues overall.
The company said it could also be used for sports, cycling or rescue and inspection jobs where workers need a boost in productivity or support.
The exoskeleton includes a host of MEMS and sensors to monitor the body and the ability to control the resistance on either leg through motor controllers.
The following is a partial deep dive into the exoskeleton conducted by TechInsights.
