ChipAgents garners 120 chip deployments for Agentic AI

29 July 2026

Agentic AI startup ChipAgents has deployed its autonomous semiconductor design and verification platform to more than 120 semiconductor companies including MediaTek and Micron.

This comes as the company has raised an additional $60 million in financing to support its expansion of deployments and accelerate its development of AI-native chip design platforms.

ChipAgents applies domain-specific AI agents to semiconductor design workflows that have previously relied on manual engineering typically through electronic design automation (EDA). This platform is not just an AI copilot that assists engineers with coding tasks, but it also has specialized agents that can independently plan and execute complex design and verification workflows. This shortens engineering tasks to days or hours rather than months or weeks.

"As the industry deals with the simultaneous pressures of increasing architectural complexity and time-to-market pressure, semiconductor companies need solutions that increase productivity, shrink time-to-market, and minimize the risk of design flaws," said William Wang, CEO and founder of ChipAgents. “We’re enabling the industry to move beyond AI assistants toward autonomous agents that can execute meaningful engineering work. Our customer growth shows that semiconductor companies are ready for that shift, and this financing allows us to bring that capability to even more engineering teams."

The new funding comes from investors B Capital, Bessemer Venture Partners, Micron, MediaTek, Ericsson, ScOP and others.
