Global distributor Avnet has opened its sixth integrated solutions facility in Singapore. The site will support its users in China and the surrounding Asia-Pacific region.
The Singaporean facility expands the company’s localized system integration, logistics and manufacturing capabilities.
Other centers include:
- Chandler, Arizona
- Guadalajara and Nogales, Mexico
- Eschbach, Germany
- Tianjin, China
The facility also supports Avnet’s ability to support customers at scale through its connected, multi-region footprint.
The integration center will be located in Avnet’s existing Farnell Distribution Center in Singapore and is designed to support system, server and rack build services. The center is also certified for supply chain security and trade compliance practices though the Singapore Customs’ Secure Trade Partnership (STP) program. Avnet is also pursuing ISO 9001 certification.
“The opening of our Singapore integration facility is a direct response to how our customers are rethinking their global supply chains,” said Rebeca Obregon, president of Global Farnell and Integrated Solutions. “Singapore plays a critical role in connecting regional and global operations, and by expanding our integration capabilities in the region, we’re operating as one connected network — giving customers greater flexibility, faster access to localized support, and more options to manage risk while accelerating time to market.”
The center includes:
- A dedicated integration space
- A warehouse
- A repair depot
- A first article lab
