NXP Semiconductors N.V. has launched cloud-based AI development tools designed to simplify agentic AI development and accelerate edge AI deployment.
Unveiled at CES 2026, the first tool called eIQ AI Hub will add NXP’s eIQ Agentic AI framework to its AI development tools. It will expand its existing GenAI Flow with capabilities to support agentic AI development at the edge.
The second tool, called eIQ AI toolkit, allows engineers to prototype faster with access to tools instantly while retaining the option for on-premise deployment. The tool suite — which includes eIQ Time Series Studio, eIQ GenAI Flow and eIQ Agentic AI framework — can be accessed in the cloud or downloaded for on-premise use.
Finally, the eIQ Agentic AI Framework is designed to deliver autonomous decision-making at the edge with agentic AI workflow development designed for the edge, NXP said.
What is agentic AI
Unlike generative AI which requires input from users, agentic AI allows systems to autonomously make decisions an act based on real-time data.
Including agentic AI at the edge will help execute tasks without latency such as complex workflows like issuing safety alerts or adjust machine controls.
“Agentic AI will be the foundation for a new generation of adaptive and context-aware systems across healthcare, robotics, manufacturing, and beyond,” said Charles Dachs, executive VP and GM of secure connected edge at NXP Semiconductors. “With the new features delivered by our eIQ AI Hub, we’re not just offering tools. We’re empowering developers with a complete platform to build intelligent, secure, and responsive agentic and generative AI systems at the edge.”
