A Chinese robotics firm has developed what it suggests is the fastest running humanoid robot in the business.
Bolt from MirrorMe Technology is a full-size humanoid bipedal robot that reportedly achieved a speed of 10 meters per second during real-world trials, marking what the company suggests is the first time a humanoid robot of its size has reached such velocities outside the lab.

According to its developers, Bolt stands at 5.7 ft tall, weighs 165 lbs and is built around newly designed joints and a fully optimized power system for replicating natural human movement while simultaneously achieving extreme speeds.
The goal of the company is to develop so-called “super-species” robots capable of approaching, or even surpassing, human athletic abilities via advanced motion perception and physical performance.
For now, MirrorMe sees Bolt as a “steel sparring partner” for Chinese athletes.
