Riello UPS extends Modular Multi Power2 series with M2X model

20 February 2026

Critical power protection specialist Riello UPS expands its ultra-high efficiency modular series Multi Power2 with the new M2X option. Designed for smaller data centers and similar mission-critical applications, the M2X can protect from 15 kW to 120 kW in a single cabinet.

It is available in a choice of three hot-swappable 2U power modules (15 kW IGBT; 15 kW silicon carbide; orSource: Riello UPSSource: Riello UPS 30 kW silicon carbide) and two cabinets (PCS as a standard power cabinet with integrated input, bypass, manual bypass and output switches; or CBC as a combo cabinet with integrated batteries).

Both solutions support N+1 configurations, flexible combinations of 15 kW and 30 kW modules, and parallel connection of up to six cabinets for a total maximum power output of up to 720 kW.

M2X features a 10-inch color touchscreen display with an intuitive interface for easy user navigation, while its 1U connectivity panel includes an embedded NetMan 208 communications card and other slots to aid with remote UPS monitoring and management.

The M2X is part of the wider Multi Power2 family, which incorporates the MP2 (300-500-600 kW) and M2S Scalable (1000-1250-1600 kW). The entire range delivers data centers market-leading, ultra-high efficiency of up to 98.1% in online double conversion mode, ensuring maximum reliability alongside reduced running costs and carbon emissions.

Riello UPS will be showcasing the Multi Power2 range, including the new M2X, at the upcoming Data Centre World show as part of Tech Show London, March 4 to March 5. The team will be on hand on stand D90 to discuss their full range of data center solutions.

Leo Craig, managing director of Riello UPS, commented: “Thanks to this latest expansion with the M2X, our Multi Power2 modular UPS’s flexibility, efficiency and reliability is now available to an even wider range of data center operators.

“The series’ smart modular architecture reduces the risk of oversizing, while its ultra-high efficiency of up to 98.1% delivers a significant reduction in total cost of ownership (TCO) over the lifespan of the system.”
