Phoseon UV LED curing systems from Excelitas now available with Modbus TCP communication protocol

19 May 2025

Excelitas announces the availability of enhanced Phoseon UV LED curing systems with newly integrated Modbus TCP communication protocol.

This significant upgrade to Phoseon products’ robust control architecture allows faster, more intelligent communication with FireJet ONE, FireJet FJ100, FireJet FJ240, FireLine FL400 and FireLine FL440 UV LED curing systems. Customers now have the flexibility to choose between RS485 or Modbus TCP communication protocols — ensuring compatibility with a wide range of automation and process control environments.

New system capabilities include:

  • Modbus TCP communication protocol for high-speed data exchange and remote access
  • Individual SLM intensity control for optimized energy efficiency
  • Enhanced firmware for improved responsiveness and remote firmware upgrades
  • Real-time system data monitoring for proactive maintenance and diagnostics
  • UV confirmation signal for reliable, worry-free operation

The new ethernet-enabled products retain all the proven benefits of Phoseon products, including long Source: ExcelitasSource: Excelitasproduct lifetime powered by patented Semiconductor Light Matrix (SLM) technology, superior uniformity, efficient thermal management and seamless integration with existing systems.

“Phoseon UV LED curing solutions are trusted across demanding industries for their precision, reliability and long life,” said Joe Becker, director of product management at Excelitas. “Adding Modbus TCP communication protocol allows our customers to operate in faster, more automated production environments, while maintaining the same exceptional quality and performance. Whether upgrading existing lines or designing new ones, this enhanced communication protocol delivers the control and insight today’s manufacturers need.”

The Phoseon FireJet and FireLine series offer scalable UV LED curing solutions with a variety of cooling options, wavelengths and irradiance levels. With more than 200,000 Phoseon units shipped and over 2 million hours of LED testing, Phoseon products set the standard for high-performance, energy-efficient and environmentally sustainable UV curing
