New adhesive UV spot-curing system

The next generation OmniCure S1500 Pro Ultraviolet (UV) Spot Curing System released by Excelitas Technologies Corp. offers control, reliability and high intensity irradiance with a versatile range of features tailored for automated manufacturing processes. The system is geared for high-throughput UV adhesive curing and automated bonding involved in micro-electronic and opto-electronic manufacturing applications.

The system’s reliable, high-output, lamp-based light source leverages proprietary Intelli-Lamp 2.0Source: Excelitas Technologies Corp.Source: Excelitas Technologies Corp. technology to deliver optimized lamp life (2,000 hours guaranteed) while maintaining optimum performance. It is also equipped with StepCure 2.0 to enable precise programming of multi-phase curing profiles directly from the system with a simple user-friendly interface.

A wide selection of user-interchangeable optical filter and lamp types provides additional flexibility for a diverse range of application needs. USB Type B and SD card compatibility also allow seamless connectivity and data storage, while the intuitive 4.3 inch high-resolution LCD touch screen display interface simplifies operation.

Additional features include:

  • Identical optical output power and spectrum to previous generation OmniCure S1500 supports seamless transition to the S1500 Pro along with full backward compatibility of existing light guides and radiometers.
  • PLC control with 1 programmable PLC output channel that is configurable using the intuitive StepCure 2.0 user interface to simplify more advanced workflows.
  • Near field communication (NFC) for advanced process control with NFC-enabled keycards (Admin, Supervisor).
  • Cleanroom-ready with dedicated duct attachment area that simplifies connections for cleanroom use.
