Video: Taking out the trash? There’s a robot for that

13 January 2025

Oshkosh Corp. made its first appearance this year at CES 2025. And with it the company brought along its Hail-able Autonomous Refuse Robot (HARR-E), a machine designed to take out the trash on-demand and that rolls to your house for pickup.

The robot is an electric refuse collection robot that collects garbage and recycling via a smartphone app or virtual at-home assistant. The robot includes AI-enabled navigation and advanced sensors to collect the trash and then returns to a central collection area.

Oshkosh said the autonomous robot could be a way to make chores like taking out the trash easier, particularly in areas like condos or apartments where it may be difficult to find service or trash bins.
