Test and emulation vendor Keysight Technologies has introduced its E7517W UXM wireless connectivity test platform for Wi-Fi.

The device is a network emulation solution that delivers signal radio frequency (RF) and throughput testing for devices using Wi-Fi 7 including 4x4 MIMO 320 MHz bandwidth. The emulation technology allows for extensive signaling RF and throughput on clients and access point to ensure Wi-Fi 7 devices work as intended when deployed.

Wi-Fi 7 is the next generation of wireless communications technology that can provide a significant performance advancement and improvements over previous generations of Wi-Fi.

The Keysight solution address the challenge of new Wi-Fi 7 devices by giving RF engineers a way to simplify testing and provides physical layer and media access control (MAC) layer insights.

Other benefits of the device include:

  • Emulates hundreds of clients at once
  • Supports RF and throughput testing
  • Covers new use cases based on latest IEEE 802.11be standards
  • Uses analysis software to provide PHY/MAC level information
  • Tests more complex devices with 5G and LTE capabilities
