As CES 2024 approaches, attendees of the international electronics tradeshow can expect a host of new and unexpected technologies on display from all corners of the world. Like CES shows of years past, healthcare technology is also expected to take center stage with offerings ranging from sleep monitoring tech to exosuits for keeping healthcare workers safe.
Follow along with Electronics360 as we take a look at some of the healthcare tech making their CES 2024 debut.
PranaQ
A sleep tech startup dubbed PranaQ will debut its TipTraQ artificial intelligence (AI) sleep monitoring device at this year’s CES tradeshow.
According to its developers, the TipTraQ is a lightweight, comfortable-to-wear device that is worn on a finger. With its anti-slip strap, the device comfortably attaches to the body so that it can diagnose and monitor respiratory sleep disorders — like sleep apnea.
Further, the TipTraQ device analyzes the wearer’s sleep trends via real-time tracking and even offers a personalized sleep coaching program powered by GenAI. Likewise, the technology uses the wearer’s data to make recommendations and treatment suggestions.
German Bionic
The e-exoskeleton specialist German Bionic will introduce its Apogee+ power suit to CES attendees this week in Las Vegas, Nevada. Designed for the healthcare sector, the Apogee+ is a patient-safe exosuit that reportedly physically supports healthcare professionals — including frontline workers in hospitals, rehabilitation centers and geriatric wards.
Offering 66 lbs of back relief per lifting movement, the exosuit supports the wearer during patient lifting and mobilization, transferring patients, conducting medical exams, washing and changing tasks and repositioning immobile patients, among other uses.
In addition to supporting healthcare workers, the suit is also safe for patients and offers grips for patients to grasp during such tasks.
Gyrogear
After years of development, Gyrogear, a medical tech company, will debut its GyroGlove at CES 2024.
Designed to assist those impacted by Parkinson’s disease and essential tremor, the GyroGlove, is reportedly the world’s first mechanical gyroscope medical device intended to take on the underlying causes of essential tremor using gyroscopic stabilization technology to reduce hand tremors.
To accomplish this, the custom gyroscope is enclosed in a lightweight casing that is attached to the back of the hand via a glove-like device. When on, the gyroscope spins and pushes back against the wearer’s movement as the device attempts to right itself, thus resisting and reducing demonstrated tremors in the wearer’s hands.

Eden Park
Eden Park, a manufacturer of far ultra violet (UV)-C technology, is introducing its MobileShield222, which is a mobile handheld disinfection device, at CES 2024.
According to Eden Park, the MobileShield222 device emits far UV-C 222nm light, which inactivates harmful airborne viruses, bacteria and pathogens — including respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), SARS-CoV-2, Avian influenza, E. coli, MRSA, norovirus, staph, Candida, swine flu, hepatitis, Legionella and more.
MobileShield222 reportedly offers continuous disinfection of air, surfaces and personal devices, thereby helping to thwart the spread of harmful pathogens in spaces up to 10 ft x 10 ft in size.
InceptionLab
InceptionLab, a digital healthcare company, will debut its "Inception ONE" patch, which is a Theragnosis (or Therapy plus Diagnosis) patch for detecting and treating bedsores in elderly patients.
The digital electronic patch is applied to vulnerable regions of the body where bedsores might emerge. Once applied, the patch uses AI to diagnose and treat potential bedsores without relying on visual inspection of the site alone.
The Inception ONE patch is a CES 2024 Innovation Award Honoree in the digital health category.
ElectronRx
Cambridge, U.K.-based health-tech company ElectronRx is launching its FoneDx technology at CES 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
According to its developers, FoneDx is installed on smartphones and uses the phone’s existing sensor technology to enable the user to monitor his or her heart and lung health from home.
By collecting real-time data, ElectronRx suggests that the technology could help users manage chronic diseases.
The Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI)
The ITRI, a research institution in Taiwan, is bringing a host of healthcare-related technologies with it to CES 2024.
Among those technologies making their debut at CES 2024 is ITRI’s iSwimWeaR, which is a smart personal device for monitoring physiological vitals in underwater environments. Integrated into diving masks and swimming goggles, the technology uses low-power microwave sensing technology in conjunction with a smartphone app to track and display underwater vitals such as heartbeat, breathing rate and activity levels in real time with a 95% rate of accuracy.

Meanwhile, ITRI’s DeeGoo Digital Test & Training for Cognition Health enables seniors to assess their risk of dementia via a series of tests as well as stimulate cognitive functions, thereby encouraging them to seek out medical attention for early diagnosis and treatment. DeeGoo enables seniors to test themselves on any mobile device with an internet connection.
Powered by a database that features published research and cognitive screening tools, DeeGoo uses AI to analyze posture recognition, and algorithms for body and cognitive functions. Further, DeeGoo offers personalized cognitive exercises to train in perception, attention, memory, executive function, language and motor skills and also tracks the user's progress.
