Arduino has launched a touchscreen solution that allows makers and professionals the ability to deploy graphic interfaces into wireless and handheld device projects.
Called the GIGA Display Shield, the touchscreen allows users working with the GIGA R1 Wi-Fi to add an interface, high-level user experiences and technology to their projects.
The GIGA Display Shield features:
- 3.97 inch 480 x 800 RGB touchscreen
- MP34DT06JTR digital microphone
- Bosch BMI2170 six-axis inertial measurement unit
- Arducam 20-pin camera connector
- RGB light emitting diode
Arduino said the display shield allows users to do these hardware projects with a UI without any extra wiring. The graphics are automatically adjusted according to the device orientation or audio commands or use computer vision as the input. Additionally, the top-facing connectors on the GIGA R1 Wi-Fi allows for expansion such as attaching other shields to a design to boost capabilities.
