Newark strikes magnetic device deal with Bourns

29 September 2023

Global electronics distributor Newark, a division of Avnet, is now carrying standard and custom magnetic devices from Bourns.

The partnership with Bourns is designed to meet demand for emerging markets like electric vehicles (EVs), e-mobility, high power battery charging, renewable energy, energy storage, internet of things (IoT), 5G networks and industrial infrastructure.

Bourns portfolio of magnetic devices includes:

  • Power inductors and transformers
  • EMC compliance devices
  • Signal transformers
  • Common mode chokes
  • Ferrite cores

Specifically, Newark is carrying Bourns’ SRP4020TA a SMD high current shield power inductor series for automotive applications. The device includes a shielded construction, a carbonyl powder core and is AEC-Q200 compliant.

Bourns’ SM91502ALA BMS signal transformers is designed for use with Analog Device’s LTC6804-1/681X, NXP’s model MC33771/33772 and Texas Instruments’ model BQ79616 semiconductors. The transformer has an integrated choke, first pin auto-termination, functional insulation and is AEC-Q200 compliant.

Bourns’ PAD00x-T764 industrial push-pull isolation transformer is designed to comply with IEC 62368. The device has an operating temperature of -40° C to 125° C and is geared for isolated RS-485/RS-232 power supplies, industrial automation, AC motor drives, smart metering and solar inverters.
