Bourns acquires electronic components vendor Kaschke

05 February 2021

Bourns Inc. has acquired the various entities comprising the Kaschke Group, a maker of magnetic components and ferrite cores.

Bourns has formed a subsidiary to acquire the assets of the company and the terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Bourns claims Kaschke is one of only a handful of companies that can design and build ferrite core materials as well as manufacture inductive components. The acquisition is an important element in Bourns’ strategy to strengthen its inductive technology capability and broaden its portfolio of magnetic products.

The combination of the company will allow Bourns to develop products to meet the challenge of EMI filter requirements for next generation power supplies in the automotive, industrial and energy markets.
