PCB design software helps predict performance, manufacturability

09 February 2022

Altair has unveiled a revised edition of its electronic system design software tool designed to help printed circuit board (PCB) engineers maximize performance and manufacturing prowess.

Called Altair PollEx, the electrical computer-aided design (ECAD) software makes board-level simulation and design verification seamlessly to designers.

The software offers PCB simulations — signal integrity, power integrity, thermal — and comprehensive design verification for manufacturability (DFM), electrical (DFE) and assembly (DFA).

"We are excited that Altair has joined Altium's Nexar partner ecosystem, and very pleased that this edition of Altair PollEx is being made available to the Altium Designer user community at no additional cost to our users," said Ted Pawela, chief ecosystem officer and head of Nexar business unit, Altium.
