Bzigo, the founder of a mosquito laser pointer that went viral on social media, has some innovative technology to back its buzzworthy creation.
The company created a laser pointer for indoor use to detect and pinpoint mosquitos without causing harm. From there, users are able to find and eliminate the pest easily. The device can be placed on any flat surface or mounted to the wall of any indoor room to observe for mosquitos, even in the dark. Additionally, the device is Wi-Fi-compatible and can trigger a notification directly to the user's phone alerting of mosquito presence in the room.
The device isn't all fun and games, though; Bzigo's creation is backed by serious research from sources including the World Health Organization on just how dangerous mosquitos can be. Not only are mosquitos the worst of all disease-transmitting insects, but hundreds of millions of people per year globally are at risk of complications including malaria, dengue, meningitis and more due to mosquito activity.
Bzigo also plans to expand its technology offerings and is in the early stages of development for mosquito elimination methods, greenhouse and industrial farming applications, and more. Learn more about the device that is scheduled to launch in 2022.
