Pressure transducer for harsh environments limits downtime and failure

Due to increased demand among design engineers for high reliability sensors and components in the industrial and commercial transportation (ICT) and industrial space, TE Connectivity has developed a pressure transducer that can operate in extreme conditions at pressures up to 700 bar.

Source: TE ConnectivityCalled the M9100, the transducer is based on TE’s microfused strain gauge technology and is available in standard configurations, provides durability against pressure spikes and is less prone to errors and maintenance. Additionally, the devices can perform reliable sensor operation even submerged in water.

The transducer can withstand nearby electrical noise and can be installed next to EMI emitting components. Electrical protection is also available to the power supply in the case of poor power supply control and reduces the risk of system issues.
