Viavi Solutions Inc. has introduced what it claims is the first 16-lane protocol analysis system for PCI Express 5.0.
Operating at 32 Gbps per lane, the system enables test and validation for emerging compute-intensive applications such as 400 gigabit Ethernet, artificial intelligence (AI), internet of things (IoT) and hyperscale computing.

The devices allow manufacturers to perform tests in accordance with the PCIe 5.0 standard as well as all the previous revisions of PCI Express.
The auto-tuning of signal integrity with the DUT makes for quick test bench setup for repeatable capture to reduce issue resolution time.
