LG Electronics plans to release its Wing 5G smartphone to the U.S. markets this week beginning with Verizon and later through AT&T and T-Mobile.
The Wing 5G smartphone features a 6.8 in organic light emitting diode (OLED) edge-to-edge screen that swivels clockwise rotating 90° to reveal a second 3.9 in OLED screen. The smartphone will be priced at $999.99
The camera includes three rear cameras — a 64 megapixel, 12 MP ultra-wide and 13 MP ultra-wide — and a front 32 MP pop-up camera. The Swivel Mode allows users to multitask such as following navigation on the main screen while controlling music on the second screen. Or watching a video on the main screen while checking email on the second screen.
The Wing 5G smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G 5G mobile platform integrated with the Snapdragon X52 5G modem-RF system. Other components include 8 GB RAM, 256 GB internal storage, MicroSD up to 2TB, a 4,000 mAh battery and Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, USB Type-C wireless connectivity.
