Dialog offering NOR flash memories compatible with Bluetooth low energy MCUs

13 August 2020

Dialog Semiconductor plc has enabled its NOR flash memories, which were acquired in the recent acquisition of Adesto Fusion, to be fully compatible and qualified to work with its family of Bluetooth low energy (BLE) microcontrollers (MCUs).

The combination of technologies allows users to deploy BLE technology while keeping power consumption low in a range of industrial and connected consumer applications. Dialog said non-volatile memory devices extend a system’s battery life without sacrificing power or performance.

The SmartBond DA1469x family features a range of multi-core MCUs for wireless connectivity. The MCUs support extremely low power consumption applications and include features such as sensor node controllers (SNCs), advanced power management unit, software programmable protocol engine, advanced multi-level security and integration for saving on PCBs and bill of materials.

The FusionHD flash memory supports code storage and data logging demands for wearables, hearables, sensor edge devices and industrial IoT systems.
