Copper Mountain Technologies has released the new compact S5045 and M5045 vector network analyzers (VNAs) with a frequency range from 9 kHz to 4.5 GHz. Featuring a dynamic range of 130 dB and measurement speed of 70 µs, these new compact VNA offerings will effectively replace the functionality of the recently discontinued S5048, while delivering improved performance.
The S5045 will come with the advanced software features engineers expect from the Copper Mountain S series compact VNAs. This portable 60 oz model delivers lab grade performance and can be battery powered and 
used in the field, in the laboratory and in production testing. The VNA can be integrated into a production test system via Manufacturing Test plug-in.
The M5045 will join the M series line of compact VNAs and include standard VNA software features in an economical package. Capabilities include vector mixer calibration, through-reflect-line calibration, frequency offset, time domain and gating.
Both models include a radio frequency measurement module and S2 software application that runs on Windows or Linux operating systems on a PC, laptop, tablet or x86 board computer connecting to the measurement hardware via USB interface. S2 software can be installed on multiple computers, making it easy to share the use of the analyzer measurement module.
