D-Link has introduced at CES 2020 three new 5G wireless speeds that support up to 3 Gbps for the adoption of new 5G networks in 2020.
The three units include a 5G New Radio (NR) enhanced gateway, 5G NR outdoor unit and a standard 5G gateway. Each gateway features a sub-6 GHz wireless frequency for use in wireless communications between towers and home units.
“With expanded spectrum and new applications, 5G is going to bring more competition to the broadband market within the coming years,” said Raman Bridwell, vice president of products and services at D-Link Systems Inc. “These solutions will help more people access that network in more places with the same wireline experience we have today.”
The 5G NR enhanced gateway supports downlink up to 4 Gpbs for 5G, downlink up to 2 Gpbs LTE 4G+, AX3000 Wi-Fi 6, three 1 Gigabit local area network (LAN) ports, one 2.5 Gigabit LAN port, 1 Gigabit wide area network (WAN) port, one USB 3.0 port, one subscriber identity module (SIM) slot and one voice RJ-11 port.
The 5G NR outdoor unit supports sub-6 GHz plus millimeter wave (mmWave), temperature tolerance of -47.2° F to 131° F, supports PoE, one 5 Gbps port, one SIM slot, IP45 waterproof and works with the EZFi app.
The standard 5G gateway supports 5G NR sub-6 GHz, downlink up to 5G 1 Gbps, AC2600 11 ac, four Gigabit LAN ports, 1 Gigabit WAN port, one USB 2.0 port and one SIM slot.
CES 2020 takes place Jan. 7-10 in Las Vegas.
