Czech Republic smart home vendor Domotron has introduced a new hub that creates personalized automated functions for existing smart home devices and uses artificial intelligence (AI) to learn users’ preferences.
The smart home hub recommends customized automations, schedules and routines based on how a family or user interacts and goes about their day. An AI personal assistant inside the Domotron app communicates with other devices by answering a few questions based on how people use the smart devices in their home.
The app also details a timeline of events happening in the home along with detailing when planned automations happened so that the commands can be altered to better suit the home, the company said.
Through ZigBee 3.0, the smart home hub is compatible with most smart home devices including Philips Hue, IKEA Home Smart, Somfy Tahoma, Sonos, Aqara, SmartThings, Netatmo and iRobot. This means that it could potentially be controlled through its touch-enabled wireless switches with sensors for humidity, ambient light, air quality, temperature and security.
Additionally, the Domotron smart hub can give location-specific weather data and astronomical data and can adjust blinds and light automatically. It can also establish geofencing in order to turn on the home lights or raise the garage door when a user comes within a preset distance.
