ASC low-profile film capacitors for PCB mounting

06 June 2019

New Yorker Electronics is distributing the American Shizuki Capacitors' (ASC) MEC-DL low-profile DC filter/link capacitor line of film capacitors. Designed primarily for PCB mounting, these low-profile capacitors are ideal for frequency converters, micro inverters and DC filtering applications. The most common application is the inverter solar market and they excel in other inverter applications where a low-profile capacitor is required.

The lead spacing and compact size are conducive for low inductance (less than 1 nH per milometer of lead spacing), and are available with single or dual leads.

The low-profile version offers a capacitance range of 13 uF to 66 uF, has a ±10% tolerance and comes in 450 V DC and 850 V DC. The terminals are tin-plated copper wire and mounted in PCB through hole.

New Yorker Electronics now maintains the full MEC-DL line, with the standard MEC-DL capacitor series, the MEC-DL metalized polypropylene high-humidity resistant (HHR) film capacitors and the low-profile DC film series. Noted for its low ESR and dry construction, the series has a capacitance range of 10 uF to 100 uF and voltages of 450 V DC, 850 V DC and 950 V DC.
