GL Communications Inc. has released its enhanced Tprobe Datacom Analyzer/Emulator, a tool designed for testing and verification of data communications circuits and equipment.

The Datacom Analyzer/Emulator is an optional board that can be a unit on its own or with GL's Tprobe T1 E1 Analyzer. To test the interface, the team connected the V.35 interface on the DSU to the mainframe and then transmitted data through the DSU to the other network.

The Datacom Analyzer/Emulator supports software applications including HDLC Tx/Rx and impairment, protocol analysis, monitoring of control signals and frequency, monitoring multiframe, record and playback applications, error insertion, precision delay measurement, Rx to Tx loopback and bit error rate test.
