CES 2017: LG to Unleash Robotic Lineup

30 December 2016

LG Electronics will showcase a number of new robot technologies equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) at the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

The robotic lineup runs the gamut from automated vacuum cleaners, to smart appliances, to robots that help with tasks outdoors. LG says the goal is to leverage analytical processing power in order to navigate environments and decipher tasks to make lives easier.

LG’s Hub Robot is used as a smart home gateway and personal assistant for homeowners. Another device that LG plans to introduce will allow homeowners to use a robot to help tend the yard and garden. Yet another will include a robot for commercial use that can be placed in areas such as airports or hotels to improve travelers’ experiences at these locations.

LG will debut the robots at its booth at the 2017 CES trade show in Las Vegas from January 5 through 8.
