Luxury automotive brand Lexus has chosen TeleNav Inc.’s Scout GPS Link for inclusion in its most popular vehicles beginning with 2017 models this fall.
The Scout GPS offers turn-by-turn navigation and location-based services that are featured on most smartphones, and transfers the information to a vehicle’s multimedia display. Telenav will have an application that will allow both Apple and Google-based smartphones to use the GPS system as a complementary service provided by Lexus.

The navigation features and location services features will be accessible via voice commands as well as the Lexus display audio controller.
The Scout GPS Link is functional outside of the car through the mobile application and transfers the experience to the car via Bluetooth. The link allows drivers to take phone calls, listen to music and more without disrupting navigation—a key feature in driver safety so that consumers do not take their hands or eyes off the wheel.
