Fuji Electric has introduced the seventh-generation IGBT modules that target industrial applications, uninterruptible power supplies and power conditioning. The modules feature advanced chip and package technologies and offer an increased current rating for reduced package sizes and improved power cycling capabilities for greater reliability.
The latest generation also provides an improvement between Von and Eoff (characteristics), given the device’s thinner drift layer and fine pattern of the trench pitch. Materials and module structure are also improved for greater durability and stability when used in high-temperature environments.
The series will be made available in phases as follows: 1200V IGBT modules are available to be shipped, the 650V and 1700V modules will follow soon.
