TDK accelerates data center push with Fabric8Labs acquisition

11 June 2026

TDK Corp. has entered into an agreement to acquire Fabric8Labs for $400 million.

The deal is part of TDK’s strategic investment to accelerate its data center initiatives and will allow TDK to expand its offerings in thermal management components for data center cooling systems.

Additionally, TDK plans to explore how Fabric8Labs’ thermal management component could be integrated with TDK’s passive components for future escalating data volumes and massive energy consumption by data centers.

Noboru Saito, president and CEO of TDK, said Fabric8Labs’ thermal management systems, power components and advanced packaging techniques will integrate with its own technologies for next-generation data center performance.

The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory issues.
