At Automate 2026 in Chicago, Illinois, Murrelektronik Inc. will unveil a suite of new automation innovations designed to simplify installation, enhance connectivity and advance machine safety in modern manufacturing environments.
A key highlight on display will be the new IO-Link Control Box. The system combines configurable pushbuttons and an integrated emergency stop into a single, intelligent interface, providing a simpler way to manage operator interaction on the machine. With plug-and-play M12 connectivity, integration into IO-Link systems is rapid, whether working on new builds or retrofits. In combination with the MVK Fusion CIP Safety fieldbus module, it delivers a complete safety solution over EtherNet/IP that reduces hardware needs while maintaining high levels of control and reliability.

The new M12 Double-End Safety Cable, designed to make safety connections more visible, robust and easier to implement, will be introduced. The cable is engineered for durability, with a range of connector options to suit various installation needs. Attendees can also experience Daisy Chain IO, enabling the connection of multiple devices using a single cable for both power and data in support of the move away from traditional cabinet-based architectures. The Aggregator Hub helps users bring multiple sensor and actuator signals into a single IO-Link interface, reducing wiring and simplifying integration into higher-level systems.
