Altech smart relays and multi-timer combine scalable control and fast installation

12 May 2026

Altech Corporation offers a broad line of smart relays and timers in its lineup. Available in AC and DC base versions, the smart relays offer system designers easy installation and integration, and a modular design for quick scalability — all in a compact size that make them ideal to monitor and control small- to mid-size systems in real time. The relays come ready to use and, with their compact 72 mm x 90 mm x 65 mm housing, they snap on a DIN rail. Installation is fast and easy. With Altech’s free configuration software, users can generate programs, project simulations and documentation with no prior programming knowledge. Through a communication module, the relays also support the popular Modbus communication protocol to ensure high-speed, real-time monitoring as well as compatibility with a wide range of devices from many manufacturers.

Altech smart relays are available with eight inputs and four outputs and, if the application calls for greater capacity, also accommodate three expansion modules for a total of 48 I/Os (32 digital inputs and 16 digital outputs). This allows users to customize the right I/O arrangement and quickly scale up systems whenever application needs change.

Additional features include:

  • 250 lines of ladder programming.
  • Extensive programmable functionality, such as 16 timers, 16 counters, 16 time switches, 16 compare counters, 16 soft text messages, 64 auxiliary relays and 12 analog comparators.
  • Backlit LCD screen for high visibility of functional blocks, I/O status and programming.
  • DST feature available.

Altech also offers a universal multi-timer with two or 10 timing functions and a timing range of 0.1 seconds to 100 hours, plus LED indicator for power and relay status, DIN rail compatibility and a 17.5 mm width.
