Netmore to acquire Actility in LoRaWAN expansion

Looking to strengthen its LoRaWAN project deployments worldwide, Netmore Group will acquire French low-power wide-area network (LPWAN) vendor Actility and its subsidiary Abeeway.

Netmore said the deal will improve and expand its reach into commercial markets like:

  • Utilities
  • Smart cities
  • Asset tracking
  • Enterprise
  • Industrial

Actility brings Netmore thousands of LoRaWAN project deployments in over 100 countries. Additionally, the deal will bring Netmore partnerships with over 50 LoRaWAN network operators and tier-1 operators.

“The demand for a resourceful and transformational leader of the global LPWAN ecosystem has been on the market’s wish list for years,” said Ove Anebygd, CEO of Netmore Group. “By combining Actility’s multi-technology mediation capabilities with our carrier-grade network expertise, we are creating a powerhouse for scalable and reliable IoT connectivity solutions.”

Orange, one of Europe’s largest telecoms, has a decade-long partnership for LPWAN with Actility to drive innovation across enterprise and public sector through its ThingPark platform.

Actility said Orange will receive continued support of its LoRaWAN enterprise and smart territory solutions as well as current and future IoT projects.
