The first Nintendo Switch captured gamers’ attention and wallets for many years. The launch of Switch 2 was massive with more than 10 million units sold by late 2025. This caused significant delays in some of the product fulfillment in the first four months on the market.

No doubt the gaming console will continue to make a splash for years to come as new content is released.

In the meantime, TechInsights conducted a teardown of the Switch 2 a few months after its release. The Switch 2 contains a Nvidia applications processor and GPU plus main memory from SK Hynix.

The following is a partial deep dive conducted by TechInsights into the Switch 2.
