TDK Corp. is collaborating with Renesas on a platform for industrial, home electronics and internet of thing (IoT) applications.
The collaboration will combine Renesas’ RA2L2 microcontroller with the TDK InvenSense SmartMotion ICM-42688-P six-axis microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) MotionTracking sensor.
The RA2L2 MCU is claimed to be the first MCU to support USB Type-C Release 2.4 standard that features ultra-low power consumption and a 48-MHz Arm Cortex-M23 processor. The InvenSense MEMS integrates a three-axis gyroscope and a three-axis accelerometer with a noise floor respectfully of 2.8 mdps/√Hz, accelerometer noise of 70 µg/√Hz.
The platform delivers motion sensing making it application for:
