Smart lighting vendor Govee is launching new devices at IFA 2025 in Berlin, Germany, including a TV backlight and permanent outdoor prism lighting.
The lighting is designed to give homeowners smart lighting that can create different moods or spaces in the smart home.
The Govee TV Backlight 3 Pro includes what it claims is the first HDR triple-camera for cinema style ambience. The lights capture TV screen color by integrating an image sensor with HDR capture capability to mimic what is being shown on the screen.
Additionally, the Backlight 3 Pro’s light strip has a lamp beam design that includes 30% more brightness and full lighting effects. The smart lighting includes 16-bit color chips and RGBWWIC five-way independent light control technology.
Meanwhile, the Permanent Outdoor Lights Prism includes a triple-color effect with an optical design. The third-generation lighting features custom LEDs and chips that deliver 150% performance boost compared to previous generations.
The outdoor lighting integrates Govee’s LuminBlend color management solution for 16 million colors. The lighting allows users to cut, splice and extend outdoor lighting around the outside or on the roof for a variety of different patterns and shapes.
Govee said the outdoor lighting can work in extreme climates from -30° F to 140° F. It can also be paired with UV-resistant armor and flame-retardant materials and offers 50,000 hours of life.
