Shelly Group has started shipping its Gen4 smart home devices to North America offering multi-protocol support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee and Matter in what it claims is an industry first.
The company first planned to enter the North American market back in January during CES 2025, which included Z-Wave long range (ZWLR) technology.
Shelly said the Gen4 devices can be used by beginners to more advanced smart home users. The devices offer local control for enhanced data security with a GDPR-compliant mobile app and cloud environment. The multi-protocol design supports integration with major platforms like Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit.
The Gen4 devices include:
- Shelly 1 PM Gen4 — A 16-amp smart relay.
- Shelly 1 Gen4 — A 16-amp dry contact smart relay.
- Shelly 1 PM Mini Gen4 — An 8-amp and power measurement smart relay for small appliances.
- Shelly 1 Mini Gen4 — An 8-amp small dry contact smart relay for appliances and contactors.
The devices can be used for scheduling, scene creation, automation, scripting and power monitoring of various smart home devices.
Shelly said it plans to launch more Gen4 devices to the North American market in the future as well as further expansion to lines that were already launched in the region.
