Two cellular internet of things (IoT) connectivity providers — Sequans Communications and Soracom — are furthering their collaboration to offer evaluation kits to simplify IoT projects.
Under the deal, the goal is to provide IoT developers with access to Sequans technology combined with Soracom’s global connectivity in two evaluation kit variants.
The variants include:
- Sequans Monarch2 GM02S EVK — A second generation featuring Sequans’ LTE-M/NB-IoT technology for applications like smart utility meters, industrial sensors, health and fitness trackers and more.
- Sequans Calliope2 GC02S1 EVK — Featuring Sequans’ Cat 1bis technology for IoT deployments that require global coverage with cross border connectivity, such as connected vehicles, logistics tracking systems and telematics.
The kits will include a Soracom global IoT SIM card that is preloaded with connectivity for up to three months. This gives developers cellular coverage in 170+ territories including LTE-M coverage in 51 territories and NB-IoT coverage in 35 territories.
Additionally, the evaluation kits will give access to Soracom’s suite of connectivity solutions that can transmit data directly to cloud functions, manage IoT devices remotely and more.
