Avnet and Sequans sign distribution agreement for IoT chips and modules

13 February 2020

Avnet Inc. and Sequans Communications S.A. have signed a distribution agreement where Avnet will sell Sequans’ internet of things (IoT) chips and modules.

The agreement will also allow Avnet to promote and sell Monarch Go, an LTE-M/NB-IoT modem component designed for and certified by Verizon. Monarch Go allows IoT devices to launch on Verizon with no additional testing required, reducing time to market. The modem technology comes with a Verizon data plan and a pre-installed ThingSpace IoT SIM.

The companies said the goal of the agreement is to serve target markets by leveraging wireless components of Sequans with Avnet’s global distribution network. Included in the agreement are Sequans’ IoT modules for IoT/M2M, broadband/CBRS and other evaluation and development kits.
