Sony’s PlayStation 5 continues to be the game console of choice for many consumers globally as it remains the most recently released.

The game console is continually evolving and that’s where the Sony Access Controller comes into play. The video game accessory is used as a customized controller kit to make gaming more accessible. The device contains swappable buttons and stick caps that allow users to configure the controller in a way that works best for the user.

It also works on multiple surfaces without any issue including:

  • 360° orientation
  • Flat surfaces
  • Wheelchair trays
  • Attached to different mounts

Main board

Inside of the Sony Access Controller is the heart of the device in the main board. It includes the following electronic components:

  • Sony’s South Bridge processor
  • Renesas’ power management ICs
  • NXP Semiconductors’ USB Type-C chip

Analog stick board

The analog stick board is the board that controls the analog controller and other sticks that are on the Sony Access Controller. It is the pivotal board that connects to the joystick module, button flex boards, LED diodes and the main board.
