Rochester Electronics and Analog Devices partner to provide extended signal chain support

24 January 2025

For over 20 years, Rochester Electronics has partnered with Analog Devices to provide extended support for their full range of active and obsolete devices.

Analog Devices specializes in designing and manufacturing mixed signal analog, and digital signal processor (DSP) integrated circuits for many long-lifecycle applications. One of their core technological focuses is the signal chain segment, which bridges the analog domain of the real world with the digital domain of the processing world. Common products include sensors, amplifiers, data converters, multiplexers, switches, specialized signal conditioners, isolators and filters.

The signal chain starts and ends with inputs and outputs (I/Os) connecting to the outside world. Analog Devices offers standard and specialized amplifiers that either boost low-level inputs from specialized sensors or provide output amplification. Radio frequency (RF)/wireless connections are also standard for offered amplifiers, modulators, mixers, VCOs and similar components.

To manage these devices and connections, designers can take advantage of a wide range of analog multiplexers and switches to select and control the desired signal path. Combined with isolators and filters, these help protect and optimize the design.

At the center of the signal chain are data converters. This is where the true bridging between the analog and digital realms occurs. Analog Devices has decades of experience developing analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) and digital-to-analog converters (DACs). The products cover a full range of attributes and provide solutions for high-performance converters in high-speed and RF applications, as well as integrated multi-channel converters in low-power and low-cost applications.

Further supporting the signal chain, Analog Devices is well known for its portfolio of DSPs, such as the SHARC and Blackfin families. These devices are essential to many data processing and system analysis solutions.

Rochester has over 120 million units (18,000-part number options) of Analog Devices’ signal chain inventory and over 500,000 units of DSPs in stock. All inventory is 100% authorized, guaranteed and ready to ship.
