Thermo Fisher Scientific has opened what it claims is the first electron microscopy demo center in Taiwan.
Called NanoPort, the facility will aid in the growing demand for analytical instruments as it is in the region’s semiconductor manufacturing hub. The center is one of six Thermo Fisher NanoPort facilities globally as the company gears up to work with semiconductor vendors worldwide.
The company will open the NanoPort later this month.
The electron microscopy will be used for:
- Materials analysis
- Process control
- Quality assurance
The demand for such technology is coming from higher-performing semiconductors for applications like generative AI, smart devices and renewable energy as well as other applications in the clean energy, aerospace, automotive and healthcare.
