Video: Hyundai begins EV push

22 May 2024

Hyundai Motor Group is embarking on a new campaign to highlight its entire electric vehicle (EV) lineup including the IONIQ 5, IONIQ 5 N, IONIQ 6 and Kona Electric.

The campaign will launch this month with a handful of advertisements and marketing that will look to entice potential car buyers to go electric rather than buy an internal combustion engine.

It matters because the EV market has come under scrutiny lately as the growth rate for EVs has slowed in 2024 over the previous quarters in 2023. Some automotive OEMs are not pulling back support for EVs but have acknowledged that perhaps the EV sector will not grow as fast as once anticipated.

That doesn’t mean the entire industry is not transitioning to EVs, as is still expected, but it will more than likely not take place in the 2035-time frame as once believed.

While some OEMs are backing away from a full EV push, Hyundai is going in the opposite direction.
