The automotive market is at a precipice where the entire ecosystem is transitioning to electric vehicles. It is not just the automotive OEMs doing this as the third-party vendors and technology companies that make electric parts are having to transition as well.
It has been called the largest transition in automotive history.
In the meantime, automotive OEMs are still looking to improve on current processes in production facilities. For Stellantis’ Detroit, Michigan, assembly complex where the company manufactures American SUVs. The facility uses 900 robots, scientists and more to build vehicles.
The following video shows a visit to the facility, how the machines operate and what is needed to make the cars that go on the road today.
