Demand for electric vehicles (EVs) is at a fever pitch as automotive OEMs seek to meet not just regional regulatory guidelines for climate change but also consumer demand that is growing for these cars.
As the world gets filled with more EVs on the road, it is important to learn the good, the bad and the best design of these vehicles. Specifically, the contrast between an electric motor and an internal combustion engine.
That’s where Sandy Munro, home to Munro & Associates, comes into the picture. Better known as the “teardown titan,” Munro takes EVs apart to better answer questions like: What makes an efficient body? Or what does an EV battery pack look like?
IMTS+ stepped into the factory with Munro to determine how his team tears apart EVs to find results. The goal is to determine how companies become more cost effective as well as finding the best range and why. This includes learning the evolution of Tesla vehicle design from its early roots into the automotive powerhouse it is today.
