Synaptics Inc. has expanded its range of Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 combo system-on-chips (SoCs) for use in high demand connectivity applications.
Called the SYN43711, the SoC targets use cases that demand high Wi-Fi throughput and range like:
- High-end home appliances
- Surveillance cameras
- Robots
- Consumer
- Industrial
- Enterprise systems
The SoC supports Wi-Fi sensing using a proprietary algorithm for channel state information (CSI). The algorithm allows any Wi-Fi connected embedded device to detect the presence of humans, estimate their motion, approximate location and sense gestures and movements.
The SoC operates in the 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz bands, is IEEE 802.11ax compliant and supports Bluetooth 5.3 with LE audio for multiple concurrent BL connections and audio streams.
