Momentus will carry OQ Technology’s 5G narrowband internet of things (NB-IoT) payload on Momentus’ Vigoride-9 orbital service vehicle.

The flight is scheduled to launch in the fourth quarter of 2027.

Momentus said the mission will support the build-out of OQ’s constellation, with more capacity and wider coverage. Once the payload is in orbit, it will communicate directly with user terminals to provide satellite-enabled connectivity services to international users across industries that need IoT communications.

The payload consists of:

  • Antenna
  • Feeder board
  • Payload electronics

The NB-IoT payload will provide services over a multimonth operational mission following deployment, the company said.
