Agilent’s spectrophotometer compatible with OpenLab software

21 January 2022

Agilent Technologies Inc.’s Cary 3500 UV-Vis spectrophotometer is now compatible with the company’s OpenLab software suite.

The data from the spectrophotometer can be managed, protected and stored in a secure central database for global regulatory requirements.

By pairing the two technologies, it minimizes security risks while helping to preserve the integrity of the data for good manufacturing practice lab. It also provides the technical controls to acquire, process, report and store data more securely in labs.

The Cary 3500 UV-Vis software can:

  • Simultaneously collect the data from standards and unknowns.
  • Automatically generate a calibration curve.
  • Determine sample concentration data in a single measurement.

OpenLabs software includes secure database storage for electronic records, complete user administration and access privileges, software licensing and data security settings such as e-signature workflow and enhanced audit trail review capabilities.
