Internet of things (IoT) startup Kerlink is working with Cloud Energy to deploy new IoT solutions to meet demand for rural areas around Ho Chi Minh City, specifically in the realm of smart farming.

Source: KerlinkThe companies developed and deployed a fully wireless long range wide area network (LoRAWAN) to monitor and manage a 900 kWp solar power installation on a mushroom farm near the city. The wireless solar power system offers:
- Stability of data reading.
- Ability to connect to different inverter brands.
- Cost savings on investment and maintenance.
The system could potentially reduce operation and maintenance costs by 30% annually compared to previous systems and could shave 30% off a new wired monitoring system. The deployment of a wireless solar farm management could achieve faster return on investment compared to wired solutions that are expensive.
